Many companies have formal compliance measures in place, such as anti-sexual harassment prevention policies, internal complaints committees, and annual compliance processes put down on paper, but there are still many loose ends and loopholes.
Sexual Harassment at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and the subsequent Rules have been framed and put to operations on 9th December, 2013.
